Booking a bed and breakfast in Scotland, can be a unique experience, due to the long tradition this kingdom has in this kind of accommodation. This low populated country still preserves ancient traditions, very appreciated by Scottish people, very proud of their history and past achievements.
There are great locations from where you can explore this amazing country, crowded with castles, lakes (and Nessie), unspoilt areas and cosmopolitan and beautiful cities, Edinburgh and Glasgow, little villages in the highlands… You just have to choose your dreamy guest house, it’s quite amazing the wonderful houses you can find, Scotland has elegant and rooted B&B ready to welcome you. We can give you some ideas, since we our favorite places, but if these do not match with the idea you have or they are not exactly located in your desired area, there are so many options it will be worth spending some time doing a little and fun research.
One of those lodgings we think you’ll never forget is Napier Cottage, in Isleornsay. This is a luxury bed and breakfast, far far away from the idea of a shabby and old house. It has an incredible view over the Knoydart peninsula, a wonderful place to disconnect.
Another astonishing guest house: Greshornish House. Edinbane is one of those places to feel like in a natural heaven, where this listed building stands since 1740. And the rooms are named after Scottish islands, so you can be in two places at the same time!
Our third “top 3” recommendation is Wilmar Bed&Breakfast, where you can get up in the morning smelling freshly baked home-made bread you can have for breakfast along with the also home-made marmalade. Nature lovers can watch seals, eagles, deers… Everything is so natural it’s almost amazing a place like this one still exists!
Don’t hesitate, pick some of these houses and travel around Scotland! You’ll always going to remember it.
